Good morning all,

 

We are having a heavy rain with strong wind this morning

here in Tokyo. Weather is not so cold with the temperature

of 13 degree this morning but the heavy rain and wind

make me feel colder than the actual weather temperature.

Here is today's english!

건강 왕성한 노인은 말했다. "오고싶은 사람은 누구든지

환영입니다. 그러니, 데려올수 있는한 많은 친구를 데려오세요.

많은면 많을수록 즐겁잖아요"

( 좋은 친구는 많은면 많을 수 록 좋죠! )

 

Words,Phrases & Patterns

> vigorous ; 건강 왕성한, 활발한

> do 동사 ; (동사를 강조해서) 꼭, 부디
> as many 복수명사 as.. ; ...하는한 많은...

> pal ; (구어적) 친구

> merry ; 즐겁다
 

여기서 the more, the merrier 는 [ the 비교급, the 비교급 ]

표현으로[ 더...하면 할수록, 더 ....하다 ] 란 뜻으로 많이

쓰이는 관용표현입니다. 

 

아래 예문은 회화에서도 많이 쓰이죠!

 

우리말로;

더...하면 할수록, 더 ...하다  를 나타내고 싶을때는 

이 표현을 써보세요.

 

예를들어;

(a) The more, the better( 많으면 많을수록, 더 좋죠)

(b) The sooner, the better

(c) The more, the merrier
