09/Jan/16/Fri Today's English (a few, few 그리고 a little, little)

Good morning all,

TGIF! ( Thanks Got It's Friday )
How many hours will you spare for your english study during the weekend?

How cold it is! It is about 1.9 degrees this morning here in Tokyo and
it will be about 10 degrees during the daytime. Actually I got a cold
because of this cold weather! Please be careful not to catch a cold!

Here is Today's English

Seq 60 ( unit 4 ) : lesson 9 (수량형용사 a few, a little 그리고 few, little)

[ a few, few ]
1. She has a few friends.
2. She has few friends.
3. She does not have many friends.
4. There are a few flowers in the garden.
5. There are few flowers in the garden.

[ a little, little ]
6. I have a little money today.
7. I have little money today.
8. I do not have much money today.

Words,Phrases & Patterns

의 뜻인 a few, a little 그리고 few, little에 대해서 공부합니다.

라고 할때의 표현은 a few, a little
a few, a little 뜻은 조금은 있는(긍정적)...

few, little ; 조금밖에 없는....

문법에서 a 없이 쓰이는 few, little는 not없이도 부정의 뜻을 나타낸다고 말합니다.
a few = not....many 와 비슷한 뜻이되고, 예문3번.
a little = not....much 와 비슷한 뜻이 됩니다.

우리말로;

(a) He has few friends and little money.
(b) There are few snowy days during the winter season in Tokyo.

Have a great day today!

My motto was always to keep swinging.
Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or
having trouble off the field, the only thing to
do was keep swinging.
