2009 - Year of Hope

 

First of all, Happy New Year to you all and let's start this year

2009 with lots of hope and I want to help you make steady

progress in English study through this daily Today's English.

 

This morning It is sunny and blue sky here in Tokyo

with the morning lows of 6.7 degrees and daytime highs

of 10 degrees.

 

Here is Today's English

1. Ann is a good singer. She is an excellent dancer too.

2. Most basketball players are very tall.

(Ann는 노래를 잘하고,춤도 잘 춘다)

(대부분의 야구선수들은 매우 크다)

 

Words,Phrases & Patterns

> excellent ; (형용사) 우수한,

> most ; (형용사) 대부분의, (부사) (형용사,부사,동사를 수식해서) 가장...

             She is the most beautiful girl in our class.

> too ; (부사) (긍정문에 쓰여서) ...도 ( = also )

           = She is also an excellent dancer.

 

합리적으로 영어를 공부하고 이해하기 위해서 최소한의

문법용어는 알아야 합니다.

 

영어의 품사를 예기할대; 명사,대명사,동사,형용사,부사,전치사,접속사 로 구별

영어의 품사의 역할을 예기할때; 주어,술어,목적어,보어 등으로 구별

 

명사 - 사물,사람의 이름

[고유명사] Ann, Tokyo, Spain; 특정의 사람,사물의 이름 (첫자를 꼭 대문자로)

[추상명사] advice, information, hope, love; 구체적인 형태없이 추상적인개념

[물질명사] bread, coffee, beer, ice; 일정한 형태가 없는 물질의 명사

[보통명사] singer, dancer,baseball player;보통명사에는 보통 a,an,the의 관사가 붙음

[대명사] She, I, You, He

 

동사 - 동작, 상태를 나타냄

[Be 동사] is, am, are

[일반동사] go, make, have etc....

 

형용사 - 명사를 수식 ; a,an,the, good, excellent ; a, an, the를 특히,관사라고 함

부사 - 동사,형용사,부사,문장등을 수식 ; too, very

 

주의; a, an, the 관사도 명사앞에서 명사를 수식하는 형용사 입니다.

 

우리말로;

(다음 예문에서 품사를 구별해 보세요)

 

예를들어;

(a) Lucy is a very careful driver (고유명사,be동사,관사,부사,형용사,일반명사)

(b) She swims in the pool (대명사,일반동사,전치사,관사,명사)

(c) I like dogs (대명사,일반동사,일반명사)

(d) Jim gave me the book (고유명사,일반동사,대명사,관사,일반명사)
