설명> 방법을 나타내는 관계부사 how 는 the way how 로는 안 쓰고, the way that, the way in which
로 쓰는데, 이는 딱딱한 문장체에서 쓰이고, 보통은 the way (생략) 가장 일반적으로 쓰이고, 특히,
회화체에서는 how 만을 써서 나타냅니다. 자세한 것은 제2를 참고하세요!
예문1) I was impressed by the way that he managed his people.
= I was impressed by the way in which he managed his people.
= I was impressed by the way he managed his people. (that 가 생략됨)
= I was impressed by how he managed his people. (the way that = how)
예문2) She described the way (that, in which) it happened.
= She described how it happened

1. 방법을 나타내는 관계부사 how 는 뭐예요? 어떻게 써요?
Could you tell me the way that I can get a discount --> the way that 비교적 드물게 쓰는 표현
(제가 할인받을 수 있는 방법을 알려주실래요?)
= Could you tell me the way in which I can get a discont. --> the way in which 아주 딱딱한 문장체
= Could you tell me the way (생략) I can get a discont. --> the way (생략) 가장 일반적인 표현
= Could you tell me how I can get a discont --> (the way that) = how 회화체에서 잘 쓰는 표현
주의; the way how 형은 안 씁니다. ( the way 와 how 를 같이 쓰지 않습니다 )
This is the way that he solved the problem.
= This the way in which he solved the problem.
= This the way (생략) he solved the problem.
= This is how he solved the problem.
설명> 방법을 나타내는 관계부사 how 는 the way how 라고는 안쓰이고,
1) the way that
2) the way which
3) the way (생략) --> 가장 일반적으로 쓰이는 방법
4) how 만으로 --> 회화체에서는 the way that 를 how 로 표현함

= This is the way that I finished the work in on day.
= This is the way in which I finished the work in on day.
= This is the way I finished the work in on day.
[ 추가 설명 ]
1. the way that .... 은 형용사절 이지만, how 만으로 나타내면 명사절이 됩니다.
2. 관계부사 how 를 ' in + which ' 로 표현가능한데, 이는 아주 딱딱한 문장체에서 씁니다.
(a) This is the way.
(b) I finished the work in on day in that way.
=> This is the way in which I finished the work in one day. ( in that way -> in which )
3. 그러니까, 관계부사 where, when, how 는 '전치사 + which '로 표현가능한데, the reason why 만 안 됩니다.
