Good morning all,

It rains this morning here in Japan. Be careful not to catch a cold!

Here is today's english!

" We're holding Vicky's farewell party at two p.m. on

May 20. I'm going to give you a ride to her apartment."

"Hold on a minutes. I'll write it down before I forget."

"5월 20일 오후 2시에 Vick의 송별회가 있는데,

차로 데려다 줄께" " 잠깐만, 까먹기전에

적어놓을께" ( 이렇게 친절한 친구 있으세요? )

여기서 be going to ...는 할 생각이다(이미 그렇게 하기로 결정한것)

라는 의지를 나타내고, will도 ....할 생각이다라는 의지를 나타내

지만, be going to는 처음부터 그렇게 하기로 결정해서 하는 말이고,

will는 순간적으로 갑자기 ...하겠다고 할때 씁니다.

우리말로, ( 친구와 얘기중에 갑자기 정해서 ) ...할께 라고 자기 의지를

말할때는 I will...를 쓰세요.

예를들어,

a. I am going to take a day off next Monday ( 다음주 월요일 쉬겠습니다)(미리 계획된것)

b. Wait a moment. I will write it down in my notebook ( 잠깐만, 노트에 적어놓께 )(갑자기 생각나서)
