This morning I will have a urgent meeting with our customer and I am sending this emai
out earlier than usual. Today It will be warm here in Tokyo with the daytime highs of
12 degrees and In Seoul, it will be sunny with -1/7(morning/daytime).

Seq 72 ( unit 5 대명사 ) : lesson 4 이중소유격
[ "한 친구", "어떤 친구" 에서 "어떤 친구" 는 불특정의 어느 한 친구로 a friend 가 됨 ]
[ 나의 어느 친구를 a my friend - 라고는 못하는데, 그건 관사와 인칭대명사의 소유격을
같이 못 쓰기 때문 ]
[ 이때는, 대신에 " of + 소유격 " 을 사용해서, a friend of mime 로해서 a 와 my 를 불리시킴 ]
[ " ..... of + 소유격 " 의 형태로 나타내는 소유격을 이중소유격이라고 함 ]
[ 관사와 인칭대명사의 소유격은 같이 못 쓰기에 이중 소유격으로 표현함 ]
1. This is a my cellphone ( X ) -> This is a cellphone of mine.
2. a my sister's friend ( X ) -> a friend of my sister's (내 여동생의 어느 한 친구)
3. a my old friend ( X ) -> an old friend of mine.
4. a friend of mine 하고 my friend 의 차이?
5. a friend of mine 하고 one of my friends 차이는?
[ 소유격 + own + 명사 ] ( own 은 소유를 강조하는 단어 )
6. This is my own house. ( 남의것이 아니고 ) 내집이다.
7. You are responsible for your own future.

오늘은 " 이중소유격 " 에 대해서 공부하겠습니다.
1. 이중소유격을 이해하는데 있어서의 기본은 [관사]와 [인칭대명사의 소유격]
을 같이 못 쓴다는것입니다.
This is a cellphone ( OK )
This is my cellphone ( OK )
(X) This is a my cellphone (a, my 같이 못 씀) -> This is a cellphone of mine. 으로 하면됨
(X) The my cellphone is black (the, my 같이 못 씀)
2. a 와 my 를 불리시키는 방법으로 [ ...of + 소유격 ] 으로 표현하는것이 "이중소유격".
예문1은 a my cellphone 을 a cellphone of mine 으로 a 와 my 를 분리시킴
예문2은 a my sister's friend 를 a friend of my sister's 으로함
예문3은 a my old friend 를 an old friend of mine 으로함
3. a friend of mine 하고 my friend 의 차이?
- a friend of mine는 내 친구중에 어느 한 친구 ( 막연한 어느 한 친구 )
- my friend는 특정한 친구로, 예을들어 지금 바로 옆에 있는 친구. my friend, Mr James.
4. a friend of mine 하고 one of my friends 의 차이는?
- a friend of mine 는 나의 어떤 친구로 막연한 한 친구
- one of my friends 는 나의 여러친구중 한 친구 (하나, 둘을 나타내는것)
( two of my friends ; 내 친구중에서 두 친구 )
주의;
one of my friends의 of 는 "...중에서" 란뜻으로 이때는 이중소유격의 표현 아닙니다.
예를들어, 5개중에 3개 는 ; 3 of 5 라고 표현
5. own 은 소유를 강조하는 단어; ( 남의것이 아닌) 내 자신의것
예문 6,7 에서 확인
우리말로;
" 바로 내 이 두 눈으로 보았습니다 " 를 영어로 말하고 싶을때는?
" 내 친구들중 한명은 반대했지만, 나머지는 나한테 찬성했다 " 라고 말하고 싶을때는?
( 내 눈으로 직접 my own eyes, 내 친구들중 한명은 one of my friends 로 표현가능 )
예를들어;
(a) I saw it with my own eyes.
(b) One of my friends disagreed, but the rest agreed with me.
