1) everything ; 모든것
2) something ; 무언가, 어떤것
3) anything ; (부정, 의문) 무언가, (긍정) 무엇이든
4) nothing ; 아무것도....지 않다
[ "당신은 나의 모든것" 를 영어로 하면? You mean everything to me ]
[ "뭔가 먹을 것좀 주세요" 를 영어로 하면? Please give me something to eat ]
[ "뭔가 할 말이 있어요" 를 영어로 하면? I have something to tell you ]
[ "신문에 뭐 재미있는 것 났어?" 를 영어로 하면? Is there anything interesting in the newpaper? ]
[ "그는 아무말도 안했다" 를 영어로 하면? He said nothing ]
[ 여러분, 영어 회화에서 -thing 의 대명사가 많이 쓰이는데, 이 표현에 대해서 알고 게세요? ]
[ 여기서 -thing 는 부정대명사 every, some, any, no 뒤에 붙여서 "사물" 을 가리키는
부정대명사 입니다. 단수 취급합니다 ]
[ 한가지 꼭 알아야 할 것은 이런 -thing 부정대명사는 형용사가 뒤에서 수식한다는 것 입니다 ]

오늘은 -thing 의 부정대명사에 대해서 공부합시다. 회화에서 많이 쓰입니다.
1. [ every, some, any, no + -thing 으로 사물을 나타내는 부정대명사 ]
예문1-2번에서 everything
예문3번에서 something cold 로 뒤에서 수식
예문4번에서 something wrong 으로 뒤에서 수식
예문5-6번에서 anything
예문7번에서 nothing
예문8번에서 nothing particular 로 뒤에서 수식
참고1;
- something 은 긍정문에 쓰이고,
- anything은 부정,의문,조건에서 많이 쓰입니다.
- any, anyone, anybody, anything 등이 긍정문에 쓰일때는 "어느것이나, 누구나, 뭐든지"의
뜻이 됩니다. ( any가 긍정에 쓰일때의 경우 );
예문) Please give me something to eat, anything will do.
( 뭔가 먹을것 좀 주세요, 뭔든지 괜찮아요 )
우리말로; " 나에게는 우리 가족은 가장 중요해요 " 를 영어로 하면 ?
" 그는 아무말도 하지 않았다 "
( "everything" 은 모든것, 제일 중요한것의 뜻도 있습니다 )
( "아무것도....아니다" nothing )
예를들어;

(b) He did not say anything.
