How many hours will you study english during the weekend?
Heavy rains at the southern areas of Japan have been moved up to Tokyo area
through the night and it will be rainy all day long today and tomorrow here in Tokyo.
This morning, a bit windy but it is 10 degrees due to abnormally warm air and it will
be about 11 degrees during the daytime here in Tokyo.
According to TV news, it will be sunny today with 0/7 (morning/daytime) in Seoul Korea.

Words,Phrases & Patterns
> frozen ; (형) 언, 냉동한.
> effort ; (명) 애씀, efforts 노력
> waste ; (동) 낭비하다
> performance ; (명) 연기, 연기력
> paint ; (동) 그림을 그리다
오늘은 every를 제외한 모든 수량형용사가 문장에서 대명사로도 많이 쓰임을 공부합니다.
1. 수량형용사( many, some, few of A ...)등으로 ...of A...의 형태로 많이 쓰입니다.
위 예문에서 충분히 확인 되셨죠!
2. ...of A....에서 명사 A에 대해서 분명히 이해하세요.
( X ) Many of students.... 로 못 씁니다.
( X ) Much of water....로 못 씁니다.
- our/these students... 등으로 써서, 우리의(our), 이들(these)등을 써서 한정시켜야 합니다.
- the water .....로 the 를 써서 "그 물" 이라고 한정시켜야 합니다.
3. each of A.., either of A..., neither of A.... 는 단수취급함을 기억하세요
예문15번과 아래 예문에서 확인하세요.
4. every 만은 대명사 용법 없습니다.
5. no 도 대명사 용법은 없고, 대신 none 으로 씁니다.
6. most of them 과 many of them의 차이는?
- Most of our students know French
(우리 학생들의 대부분이 프랑스어를 안다; 모르는사람은 거의없어)
- Many of our students know French
( 우리 학생들의 많은수가 프랑스어를 안다; 반면, 많은수가 모를수도 있는것)
many 은 단지 "많은수" 를 말하는것이지, " 대부분 " 을 뜻하는것이 아님을 이해하세요.
우리말로;
" 가방이 두개가 있는데, 하나 빌려써도 돼", "그런데, 둘다 크기가 충분하지 않아"
" 그 문제의 대부분/일부/소수의몇개/ 를 해결했어요" 라고 말하고 싶을때는?
( 둘중 어느것도 아니다...neither of them.... )
( 대명사 most of..., some of..., a few of the problems 를 써 보세요 )
예를들어;
(a) " There are two bags, you can borrow the one", "but neither of them is big enough"(단수취급)
(b) I have solved most (some, a few) of the problems.
