그토록 심한 출혈후에도 릴리가 여전히 살아있다는 것은
그녀가 (심한 고통에도 꿋꿋히 견뎌내는) 강한 사람 (파이터)임을 의미했다.

릴리는 5가지의 그런 수술을 했다.
UCLA (대학병원)의 직원들은 그녀가 아직도 (살아서) 우리와
함께 있다는 것은 기적이다고 말했다.


** massive; (형) 아주 큰, 아주 대량의,
** bleed; (동) 출혈하다.  bleed at the nose  코피를 흘리다.

** mentally handicapped; 정신적으로 장애가 있는,
** retarded; (형) 지능의 발달이 늦은
** suspect; (동) ....이지 않을까 생각하다, ....라고 의심하다

** still 이 '움직이지 말고 있다' 라는 뜻으로사용될때는, 보통 동사 keep, stay, sit, hold 와 함께 사용됩니다.
